This is an entertainment interview as an interviewer from ABC interviews a couple that uploads videos on YouTube of them pranking eachother in their normal life. At 0:37, the interviewer first of all asks the couple " Is this what nice people do?" that is a closed question and the interviewer is kind of questioning on them on their personal life, this is a good question to begin the interview for this particular interview as it firstly lets the audience know what kind of relationship they are in, whether they hate eachother or not. Then at 1:11, he questions them on their relationship as he asks "Do you like eachother?" as the interviewer now knows what kind of situation this couple are in and knows whether that question was suitable to ask to not make the rest of the interview awkward.
Then they play clips of their pranks to show the audience how crazy they are.
He then asks " Swear this is all real?" as he is investigating that this isnt fixed, this question allowed the interviewer to get an answer to what the audience wants to find out. Then he asks1:57 "You don't scream extra loud because their camera's rolling?".
This shows me that the interviewer is investigating on whether the videos that they upload arent set up or anything and it is also a question that leads onto the question he asked before to fully confirm.
At 3:03, he asks them an open question by asking " Do you think she will prank you any chance she gets?" and also asks the girl the same question. This shows that the interviewer is trying to find out how tense their relationship is living with each other 24/7, this shows that this is also an investigative question too.
Then finally to sum it all up at 3:11, he asks them both "what's wrong with you?" this shows that is also is an open question and investigative at the same time as the interviewer finds this kind of behaviour bizarre.
This is a hard news interview regarding the Boston bombing and a BBC news reporter interviews Dr Jack Holland. To start the interview, he greets his guest at 0.13 "Thank you Jack for coming, its good to see you" I think this is a good way to start and interview to let his interviewee feel comfortable. Then the interviewer goes straight to the point and asks "How on earth do you go about policing, securing a route that lasts for 26 miles?" This is an open question and i personally think this is a good question as the answers can be very broad as its not the easiest question to answer.
Then the interviewer names all the notorious landmarks in Boston that the terrorists could of attacked but it wasn't secured. The interviewer develops the question by asking Jack why it wasn't secured enough. So Jack replies with statistics on why it wasnt. The reason i think Jack replied with statistics is because it was a tough question to answer but the interviewer wanted to let the public know the answers and i think it was an important question.
At 1:39, the interviewer asks an investigative and open question on the London race coming up " Where are the main places that the Met Police will be keeping an eye on, patrolling and looking at whe the race gets on the way next week?" This is an important question to asks as it is informing the public who might be participating in the race whether it is secured enough and whether the Police is taking it seriously or not.
He then asks at 2:31 " From what you're saying, that the race should go on?" this is a leading question.
Finally at 3:11 the interviewer says "no pause for thoughts from you?" i personally think it was a harsh question to ask as the interviewer is making out that Jack doesnt care but then Jack informs us that he is participating in the race. Then the interviewer says to Jack "Good Luck" to smooth out the rough question he has asked to let the interviewee feel better.
This is an interviewer about the Riots that occured in Manchester in 2011 and this is BBC News interviewing Amir Khan on his views on the situation. At the start of the interview, i dont know whether the interviewer has greeted Amir or not as the video doesnt show it.
At 0:32 the interviewer asks Amir "What is building up in them, what has caused it?" This is an open question but i don't think this is a good question as the interviewer makes out that Amir knows what the rioters are thinking. Then Amir goes on about how he got trouble causing kids off the streets and in his gym in Bolton.
At 1:20, the interviewer asks " You are a role model for young children, so when they come to your gym or you make them, what do they say to you about their lives?" this is an leading question but the interviewer drifts off from the topic and changes it to about Amir's gym.
Then she asks "You're a providing alot for these kids, but what are your views on the fact that alot of public funding is withdrawn from youth clubs and neighbour hood schemes?" this is an open question but the interviewer kind of answered her first question by herself as the fact that public fundings has been withdrawn thats why riots have started. Overall, I think this isnt a good interview as the public didnt get any kind of answers except for Amir promoting his gym.
